We had a blast last night at bowling – the first social outing of the year for the FCC Bedford brethren after a long while! It was lovely to be able to get out, have some fun as a church family and get know our latest member Les. Pastor D turned up very confident, showing off his skills as an experienced bowler but they alas proved insufficient when faced with the quiet resolve of his wife Helen, who annihilated him – and the rest of us – in the first game!
Another couple of sisters who – supposedly – hadn’t been bowling in ages also proved to be killer at it; even our dear Lavinia seemed to use her shots as an opportunity to let go of some possible pent-up road rage at times but in the end, our lane survived her so all was well that ended well, haha.
When all was done, we had some great laughs and Pastor D was able to save face in the second game! We’re all looking forward to the next one!
